Donations Support St John’s

Every campus ministry comes with challenges, including financial difficulties. Hundreds of college students consider St John’s their spiritual home, but student budgets are tight. Many ISU students are paying for their educations with part-time jobs, leaving little for the collection plate. Our average weekly collection is around $120, which does not even pay for the Sunday mass, much less all the other ministries that St John’s offers. Currently a very small amount of our income comes from alumni and friends; in comparison, Washington State University’s Catholic Center (a university similar in size to ISU) receives over $20,000 annually from alumni and friends. The building is over forty years old, with high utility and maintenance costs.

In order to serve the Catholic young adult population in SE Idaho, a challenging ministry in an area so dominated by another religion, St John’s sorely needs your support and generosity. In tough economic times, we must decide what is important to ensure that it is there for the future, and support of this ministry truly is an investment in the future.

How to donate:

If you can help, with your time, your talents, or a financial donation, please contact us.
You can express your support for the St John’s mission and ministry in several ways:
Weekly collections at Sunday liturgy
Mail a donation to St John’s- whether once, monthly, or annually
A bequest in your will for a percentage of your estate or for a specific amount
Ask about the St John’s wish list: we have identified many projects and needs around the Center, things like:
New furniture (most of what we have is old, unmatched, and full of tears)
Replacement front doors (our old doors are rotting away)
Repairing cracked sidewalks (a safety issue)
A copy machine for our weekly bulletins and catechetical materials
